In February this year, the County Assembly of Kiambu (CAK) Committee on Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries hosted their Counterparts from the County Assembly of Elgeyo Marakwet who are here on a benchmarking visit.
The visiting delegation of 11 MCAs including staff was received by the Committee Chairman Hon. Edward Ngugi-MCA, Nyathuna Ward, a section of the MCAs and the Acting Deputy Clerk Ms. Angela Kagunyi.
Later on the day, the MCAs paid a courtesy visit to the Governor, H.E Hon. BabaYao Waititu.
The MCAs are keen to learn about the County Cooperatives, Livestock production, Development expenditure among other achievements from the County Government of Kiambu. The following day the delegation visited Waruhiu Agricultural Training College and Githunguri Dairy Farmers Cooperative.
However, the MCAs were fascinated by the vibrancy of the County Assembly and the open door policy exhibited by the Governor who speared some time to address them amid citizens’ visits in his Thika Office.
